Persistency is Everything

This is a lesson in how persistent and determined one must be to break into the industry of fashion. Wish I could have his resume. Thanx L&F for the vid.

Marc Jacob talks Stephen Sprouse

A while ago I posted about a Louis Vuitton tribute to Sprouse. Well here is a video with Marc Jacob talking about Sprouse's contributions. Also, he just launched a website, welovesprouse.com.

Movie Trailer:"Obsessed"

This is the trailer for the new movie "Obsessed" due out Spring 2009 starring Idris Elba, Beyonce Knowles, and Ali Larter. Seems pretty interesting. I just have one question... Could they have given Beyonce a more believable lacefront? Just wondering....

Daddy's Girls

This is the trailer for Vanessa and Angela Simmons' new show Daddy's Girls. I'm extra excited cuz I loved Run's House and didn't know what to do with myself on Wednesday nights after it stopped airing. Kinda sad....I know. But, now this show shall feel that void for me. YAYYY!!! I can't wait!

Justin Timberlake-If I (ft. T.I.)

This is a new Timberlake song that just leaked. I really like it!! Timberland produced this one. Does he ever upset? NO.

*Sidebar* Do you hear Tip singing towards the end? OKAY!! I am not mad at you Mr. Harris.

The link to download is right here. Don't forget to leave you comments too.

Kanye's Samples

Wow! I had no clue Kanye sampled all of these songs. And these don't even include the tracks he produced for other artists. I still think he's dope.

Tom Ford Collection Spring/Summer 2009

Pretty cool collection. My favorite is the last look. I also like those velvet slippers. Hmmm.... *suddenly got some ideas*

Martin the Tailor

Martin the Tailor from Ed David on Vimeo.

This is a very inspiring story.

Charles Hamilton-Brooklyn Girls

I'm not a huge Charles Hamilton fan but this song goes hard. Maybe it's just the "Swing My Way" sample.

N.E.R.D.-Sooner or Later

I really like the whole concept behind the video

Louis Vuitton's tribute to Stephen Sprouse

This Louis Vuitton 09 collection is to pay homage to Stephen Sprouse. They used his common motif of pop art and graffiti. (sidebar)The shot of Marc Jacobs is photographed by Terry Richardson. I will post more of his work. I'm really liking this collection.

Common

Two new tracks from Common. Can't wait for the album!!!

Punch Drunk Love-ft. Kanye West

Make my Day-ft. Cee-Lo

*the link for Punch Drunk Love has been deleted.

I know I'm late but.........

If you haven't copped these two albums you are doing yourself a great disservice. Ludacris brings that fire with Theater of the Mind while Mr. West brings a side of him we really haven't seen before in 808s and Heartbreaks. Kanye is singing on pretty much the whole album but it works and Luda is just going in on this one. Ludacris is probably one of the most slept on rappers but hopefully that will change after this album.

88 keys ft. Kid Cudi-Ho is Short for Honey

Kanye West ft. Kid Cudi- Anyway

This is a new track from Kanye West's new album titled 808s and Heartbreaks. It is set to release November 25th. I really like this song because of the beat and it's real different. I have also been a huge fan of Kid Cudi since I first heard of him this past summer. Even though he is only on the chorus I am glad that Kanye is putting him on. I can't wait for 808s and Heartbreaks to come out as well as Kid Cudi's project. The file has been deleted from zshare so this video from youtube will have to do.

My President is Black!!!!!!

I think this is the perfect way to start this blog off. Barack Obama has won the Presidency of the United States of America. I can think of no place better to hear this news than the great Mecca that is Howard University. Everyone gathered on the yard and it was a moment of celebration. We dances, chanted, cried, sang, and embraced each other as we tried to grasp the importance of the history we had just witnessed and played a major role in. The city is going crazy right now. It would be my luck that on this historic day my camera wasn't working but I will definitely try to get some photos and videos from friends who were there. As I write this I can hear all the car horns outside my dorm room window. I am so proud of my people right now and I can not think of anyone more deserving of this honor than Barack Obama and his beautiful family.
